Johor Bahru Outing

Today, I went to JB for my hairdo at Sharon's shop again.. We booked our appointment at 10.30am, but ended up reaching there at 12.30pm. We where 2 HOURS LATE!!

The Singapore immigration as well as the Malaysia immigration were really jammed with people... really 人山人海. We almost fainted at the Malaysia queue!! Their building is old and NON AIRCON!! By the time we reached Sharon's shop, we were very late. And the salon was already full. So, we had to wait awhile for some customers to finish before we can start.

In between, I took some shots of my hair.. haha.. narcissist!!

We finished at...... 930pm!!! Well, I finished slightly earlier. So, while waiting for Kristin, I took photographs of myself and indulge in some narcissism. Wakaka..

This is my new hair style.. Hope I can let it stay this way when I style it on my own. And trying to act cute like the youngsters does... erm.. but this one is the 'oldster' way. Kekeke..

(Even though, I had learned some Photoshop functions..... I'm too lazy to photoshop my photos!!! Actually wanted to at least add a border to the photo... too lazy.. ^^) So, you guys have to look at the photos that have dark circles, eye bags, wrinkles, flaws, and fats!! Hehehe... That's the real me. :)

After that, we proceed to come home, and decided to eat at the coffee shop opposite the Malaysia custom before heading back. I had some Nasi Lemak.. Kristin had Nasi Goreng Ayam (Chicken Fried Rice). We were quite hungry then, we only ate one Subway sandwich at about 1230pm, which was bought at 9am from Junction 8, Subway. It was soggy already as the honey mustard is appearing outside of the wrap. Sigh.. Nonetheless, it was very tasty, and someone even came up and asked us (while we were eating outside the salon), "where did you get this 'burger' from?"... and I replied "we bought it in Singapore". Hehehe...

Ok.. back to my Yummy Nasi Lemak! only RM2.50 neh. Got 'fish', got peanuts, got egg, got chilli, got rice!! Very worth it le.

And I managed to finish most of it, except the chilli sauce. The chilli sauce was quite tasty, but I decided not to eat to much spicy stuff. It had to go to waste.. :(

Photoshop Lesson 2

Lesson 2 is on 27 Nov 2008. It's becoming more interesting, though it might still be considered EASY to other pple!! It seems easy to learn though.. :)

This is what I've done today. We have this Eagle... and we used photoshop to copy the eagle head out.... Nice? Hahaha...

Then, we also added Mr Bean into a group photo!! Boh liao really...

Then we added Korean Drama onto the TV screen..

Besides all these, we also managed to make a man disappear in a photo, and put a woman from another photo into the sunset.

Ahhhh... and we also managed to remove some wrinkles!!! Hahaha..

Looking forward to the next lesson and last lesson. It's really a very basic course, but overall, it's FUN!

Learning Photoshop!!

I'm so boh liao. Went to sign up for Photoshop class to learn some basics. Too lazy to read books to learn. So, guess it was right to go to a class. At least someone's there to show you exactly what needs to be done.

I'm In Love...I'm So In Love!!

I'm so in love with Silver!! She's so sweet, so cute... so adorable, so lovely.....

She's loves me too!!! She'll come look for me every night. Last night, she slept in my bed. Hahaha... Just for awhile.

Just now she came to my room to look for me too. And lie beside me in my bed, while I was playing with my computer.

I went to buy a bottle of shampoo for her today. Want to shampoo her next weekend. The shampoo smells nice, like green apple smell. It's meant for Deshedding... hopefully after that she sheds lesser.

I'll need to get more refills for my lint remover also. Hehehe...

Ok.. let's see this not so clear video which I took on the 2nd day she moved in.

She's so attached to me already!!! Ahhh.. I'm attached to her too. Everyday thinking of seeing her only leh.

I'll try get clearer pictures and videos once she's more settled down, and come out to play in the day.

She's now at my door, when she hear me move towards the door she meows. Feel so bad for not being able to keep her company and play with her. Coz... I need to sleep!!

I'm going to see it on Thursday!! Her name is Silver! So cool. And she's handicapped... Got one leg spoil le. But I'm sure it'll be a good company. Heard that it's really really cute.

Patapon Fever

I've been hooked onto the Patapon game on PSP again. :)

For the last 2 weeks, I've been busy with the game. This time round I printed out the guide and followed it. Been reaching new stages with the help of the guide.

Ahhh... and most important of all, I managed to unlock all the mini-games. And finally able to play the mountain mini-game!! Been trying for the last few months and had always been missing. Finally managed to 'conquer' it. Hahaha..

Come take a look at this game... If you don't have it on your PSP yet, maybe you should buy it!!

Inconsiderate Driver

I met an inconsiderate driver on Friday afternoon.... So... I wrote to the traffic police!!

This is how the email look..... names and car plates have been removed to protect the people involved! Hehehe..

I am writing with regards to an inconsiderate driver I encountered today.

I was at the traffic light at the junction of xx Road and yy Link at around 12.55pm today, 14/11/08, Friday. When the red man turned green, I start to cross the road, to walk towards PP Shopping Centre.

When I was half way across the road, this car from xx Road, turning left into yy Link, did not stop and wait for me (the pedestrian) to finish crossing. He just drove passed in front of me while I was crossing the road. It actually gave me a shock, as usually cars come to a complete stop at such traffic light junctions and let pedestrians cross first.

This happen when I was half way across the road, means that he could have run into me if I suddenly decide to dash towards the side of the road.

I feel that such drivers should be given written warning and to educate them about the importance of road safety issues. I saw passengers in his car too. It is equally important for the safety of passengers in the car.

For your record purposes, I've copied the car plate number SXX9999Z and it's a Red car. My IC No. is S7123456I, Name on NRIC is Claire Claire Claire.

So cool... hehehe.. then when I told my friend about it. He say.. how come everytime hear you complain about cars on the road. Hahaha.. Then I recalled another incident where a taxi chiong the red light, and I copied his car plate number and complain to the taxi company. Hahaha...

I'm the Road Safety Marshal mah. :) Drivers drive carefully, OK? If I spot you driving recklessly, especially if you gave me a shock at the traffic light!! I'll report you to the police. Hehehehe.... :)

New Purchase....

The shopaholic went indulging again!! This time after 'considering' for one whole week.... finally decided to splurge on the SEWING MACHINE!

Went to Junction 8 with Sam (my good neighbour... coz he always drives there.. hehehe..) for a coffee break. Ordered the Ice Blended Black Forest from CBTL... and a Caesar's Salad with Chicken. Yummy... That was my dinner... doing my part for being 'healthy'. My healthy Caesar's salad with lots of cheese and lean chicken meat.

After talking with Sam for a long time..... all the usual gossiping.. Hahaha... Then we proceeded to get my sewing machine.. that I've been thinking for a week. Well, they are still selling at a discount!! So... very rapidly, I told the salesperson that I want one. She's a very nice lady, keep telling me that if I've any problem with the machine, I can go look for her, and she can teach me how to use.

Apparently, Sakura brand is a very good brand for sewing machine too. Before this, I only know about Singer. I used to own one antique Singer machine... those black one with a brown table and a peddle at the bottom where u peddle and sew at the same time. The sewing machines now, are so good.... you just need to find a small space on any table!!

And it also comes with many functions and different stitches. Not like the traditional ones where you can only sew straight lines.



The one that I bought is one of the most basic ones already. There are even computerised ones for embroidery which cost more than $1000 each.

Wonder when my first project will be.. :) Probably some pouches to organise the things in my bag....... as if there is not enough pouches yet. :)

Hit Counter Obsession

Hehehe... I've been obsessed with the hit counter and the number online now... besides being obsessed with my boyfriend, Alan (like what Ian said).

Every now and then, I'll check my Hit Counter and see the number going up. Sometimes I'll see like... 4 people online now.. and I'll start to wonder.. who is that? Hahaha... Especially on boring days where Alan has gone missing again messing with his test subjects.

As for me, I'm still messing around with the sidebar and wanted to add the script to make my sidebar tabbed!! Found some websites that provide the code. But after I copy and paste, copy and paste, still doesn't work. Sobz... can't even do a good copy and paste job.

I've also signed up for the Adobe Photoshop course. It's for 3 lessons only, and 3 hours each lesson. Then hopefull I'll be able to to master the basics and start creating nice graphics from scratch. Not going to edit my photos like other bloggers do. Erm.. like make my eyes bigger, breasts bigger??.. skin smoother, eyes sparklier <--- got such word? The most, I'll edit the photo to blur the background.. if the background is messy... hehehe.. (like my room). Kakaka...

After this course... I'm already looking at other short courses.. like HTML stuff... so that I can edit the HTML codes in this blog with understanding. What I do now is, I go trial and error and do a preview. If it works, then save it.. if not then try again!!!

Ok!! NOW!!! I'm going out! To buy the sewing machine that I've been thinking about for the past one week!!! Yippee.... Finally..... hope there's still discount!! No discount, no buy! Ahh.. and remember to ask for more free gifts also.. kekekeke

Boring Saturday....

So bored today. OMG... I'm starting to feel bored again...?? It's a boring day! Have been in front of the computer for the whole day.

Trying to figure out how to make my sidebar work with tabs. Tried amending the template so many times, but it doesn't seem to work. Argghhhh..

So bored now.. don't think I want to write more... grrr.r.... will try again later...

Eat Lesser and Live Longer

Yahoo has this article today, that we should all read.  Actually I saw it before I went for buffet last night and decided not to read it until today.  Hahaha.. This is because.. I'm going for buffet!! How to eat less?  To make myself less guilty..... I decided to read it today.  Ahhh.. and to post it here to share with everyone.

Food Indulgence

Today also went to indulge in food!! Went to Coca for buffet dinner with Kristin. And decided to order the fried sotong with garlic & pepper (forgotten to take photo).

Ok.. let's take a look at the big pot of Tom Yam steamboat. Yummy... It's boiling. If I make it into a .gif animation will be fun. Hahaha..

Finish eating already. By the end of the meal, the soup became very very salty. But the vegetables were very good and fresh. Love the Tang-O and Golden Mushrooms the most. See? Don't see.. right? Coz all in our stomach liao.

Very healthy! Ate 4 prawns only. Ah.. and very good table manners too. See the plate so clean. hahaha...

And... when I'm on the way home... I met this cute little kitten at the interchange. Played with it for awhile before I ran for the bus!

Hmmm... Looking at the title.. please stop if you are below 21!. ;) Bought a new dress just now. It was on offer... and the discount caused me to buy it. Hahaha... It's a dress that I won't have many chance to wear. Hmm.. scratching head. When can wear leh?

So, I better wear it now and take a photo. Tadah!!! Oooooh... Knowing that I've such a dress in my wardrobe.. When the 'time' comes, I can wear it. I don't know when the 'time' is. :)

Hehehe.. before I leave the office today, I have to show off something!!  I made this notebook with old letterhead paper from the office. 

These paper has been around for a long time with the company's old logo and address.  Won't be able to use it for official letters anyway. :)  So, why not make use of them to make something useful?

Tada... here is my work.. personalized notebook.  Hahaha.. I've always liked to make such things.  Nice!

Excitement... of being a seller

Today, I logged into my ebay account and ...noticed that my desktop pc has been bid until $301 liao. Hmmm... Actually selling on ebay is as exciting as buying!

Initially, I just wanted to get rid of my PC since I've bought the smallish Acer Aspire One. And maybe plan to get a nicer PC sometimes next month or in December. My starting price was $200, and was willing to sell it off at $200 to who ever asked for it. Who knows, someone started bidding and the price just keep going up. It was at $211 yesterday, but today, it become $301. Looking at the bids, it got very exciting. Haha.. like looking at the stock market, where your shares go up up up! XD

Ok lah... I'm happy at $301. If it goes up further, it's extra bonus for me. :)

Rain Rain Rain

It's been raining since lunch time.  When I went out to buy lunch, the sun was shining at it's fullest.  Not to mention the heat from the sun was kind of unbearable.  After I finish with buying lunch, and ready to go back to the office... it started to rain.  Wow!  The weather is really not predictable.  So, went to buy an umbrella.. RED (colour) de.  We are suppose to say red umbrella and not red colour umbrella.  Haha.. but I still somehow like to say RED COLOUR. :)

It costs $5.50 only.  That's cheap.  But now I have 1 more folding umbrella.  Sitting at my desk.. I have one folding umbrella that cost $27.90 in my bag (very nice one), one new red folding umbrella beside the desk (also nice), one Giordano umbrella ($6 bought on a rainy day) which i hid behind the filing shelf, and another red umbrella (from AIA) which I've gotten few years back.

So many umbrellas.  Am I obsessed with umbrellas or what?

So bored now in the office.  Phew!!  Boss went travelling loh..... I can now start to clear up my tray.. and sort out all the other work that have been pending.  Hope I finish them up real soon.

I Got It!!!

Yippeeee... the seller of the Canon Ixus 80 agree to sell it to me without waiting for the auction to close!! I'm going to meet him tomorrow.. erm.. or rather today. hehehe... Monday evening!!!

Wow.. he so late still don't sleep and check his ebay. Hahaha..

Tomorrow got new toy to play... and few hundred dollars poorer..

Wah.. this month really shopping spree ah...

First, I bought the Acer Aspire One... then a few bags, means more than one.. shoes, clothes, a table lamp and now... Digital cam. And maybe sewing machine!! My this month salary cannot save again. Angels help me!!!

Sewing Sewing Sewing

While at Junction 8 looking at the digital cams, I went to look at sewing machines too. Yes!! Sewing machines! I've been looking around and ogle at sewing machines for the past few years. Had always wanted to own a sewing machine again ever since the old one that been thrown away.

Actually I don't sew that much, and I've probably forgotten how to sew properly. The sewing machines come in so many functions now.

The sales lady told me that.. these days, sewing machines we dun really use them daily, we are not seamstress. But we gotta get a good one, that can work for the next 10-20 years.

Arrgghhh... why am I on a shopping spree? Had been buying and buying and buying..... how to save money like that?

Fairies, please help me be able to buy the things I want! Angels, please help me save money for my future. Yes! If you believe, fairies and angels do exist!! They are here to help you, but you need to ask for it. :)

Next time I tell you all more about my Angels and Fairies cards. They are really cool, and accurate!! Good night... sleepy already. Tomorrow gotta work... and probably busy... want to help my boss clear all the work before he go on a trip again on Wednesday.

Digital Cameras....

I've been looking at digital cameras for the last few days... Just now went to Junction 8 to look see some more. There are so many choices!! Which one to choose? After reading reviews till my eyes want to pop out.... I think Canon still have the best cameras... erm.. with the little budget I have.

And I've contacted the person who is selling it on ebay to sell it to me!! Hope I can get it lor. It's a brand new unit which he/she won at a lucky draw!!

If yes I would like to take la...".. Isn't it unfair for the bidder who placed the bid? If I want fast deal and sell at $200, I'd sell to the person who placed a bid! Not this guy man....

Nothing Much... still buying

I woke up before 9am today, and found out that my TV is still switched on. Didn't get a good sleep last night then.

It's a quiet Saturday. So, spent the day trying out widgets for the blog.. :D Ah.. and shopping on ebay. Going to buy a Canon Ixus 70.. I've already bidded for it!! It's brand new, but it's cheap. The retailer must be clearing the old models for the new models. My believe, is not to get the latest models at the $400+ price range. Why pay so much when it'll be down to less than $200 next year. So, either I buy a last year model for $100+ or I wait next year to buy this year's model. ;) Hehehe...

Then I posted my desktop PC up for sale on ebay. And there's one person who seems very interested and started to haggle!! Hello...it's ebay... it's not the fish market. Haggling seems to be more rampant on ebay Singapore! So, I did a search on ebay for similar items like mine. Others are posting their items at $400+, just for the CPU. I posted mine for $200, with a 19 inch flat panel monitor. Still want discount. Zzz...
